CEO's Corner
Welcome to our newly redesigned ACSA website! I am proud to serve as the new Chief Executive Officer of the Algiers Charter Schools Association and I plan to continue the success the Association has accomplished.
Our mission is to prepare every school and every teacher to teach every child, so that all will learn. The ACSA has not wavered from that mission, which has been a clear reason for the Association’s success. There are many programs that have been implemented over the years which has helped the ACSA live up to that mission.
The ACSA has always strived to allow each principal in our nine schools to develop a course of study that best suits the needs of their students. Each of our schools has developed a personality of their own and a specialty area of instruction, which has played a vital role in their success.
I am also very proud of our successful Positive Behavior Support program. This program reinforces positive behavior in our students and it helps each school to provide a nurturing environment for students.
Another key component in ACSA's success is the Teacher Advancement Program (TAP System). The TAP System has been vital in improving student achievement and helping teachers learn what works well and what should improve in their teaching practice. This system ensures quality teachers in the classroom and, most importantly, it enhances student achievement because our students benefit from a quality education.
I am delighted to be part of such a wonderful organization where I can help grow our young people to be successful young men and women in our communities.
