Location

Among ancient oaks and southern magnolias, down where the sounds of the riverboats and ferries can be heard as they travel the mighty Mississippi River, lies Historic Algiers Point.  High above all the gingerbread-trimmed Victorian shotgun houses, rises the stately Martin Behrman Charter Elementary School building  Designed by renowned architect E. A. Christy, it is a symbol of hope for the future of public education in the Algiers Community.
