New Orleans, LA – As part of the transition to more local control of the Algiers Charter Schools, the ACSA has named Algiers native David Grubb, as its new Communications Manager. “We are very pleased to have David on board”, said Dr. Brian Riedlinger, Director of the Charter Schools, “his energy and experience will be a real asset to both the Association and to the community as a whole.”

Mr. Grubb is a product of the New Orleans public schools, having attended Paul B. Habans Elementary, Julius Rosenwald Elementary, and graduating from Edna Karr Magnet High School. Mr. Grubb has an extensive background in communications having begun his career in broadcast journalism, and working in several local political campaigns, as well as experience in the fields of public relations, marketing and advertising.

“My job primarily is to ensure that parents and the public at large are getting the information that they need to understand what our schools are doing for their children and where we are headed,” said Mr. Grubb. “I am ready to work with anyone who is concerned about those issues, so that everyone can feel that their voice is being heard.”
