FISCHER ELEMENTARY SET TO OPEN

New Orleans, La. – William J. Fischer Elementary will open tomorrow as the fourth elementary school and sixth school overall within the Algiers Charter School Association. Principal Dahme Bolden will welcome nearly 300 students to the campus when the opening bell rings at 7:45 am.

“The teachers are all excited to get to work and to see the children,” Ms. Bolden said. “We’ve been putting a lot of work into making this a place where every student can come and feel at home and be prepared to learn.”

Fischer will have half days of class on March 30th and 31st ending at noon. Full days will start on Monday, April 3rd with the school day ending at 2:30 pm. The school’s main phone number is (504) 304-3976. Students may continue to register at the school.
