Meeting's Topic is Algiers Schools

Education in Algiers will be the topic of a town hall meeting Thursday.
The meeting is at 6:30 p.m. at the Algiers Carriage House Museum behind the Algiers Courthouse at 225 Morgan St.
Expected to attend are state superintendent Paul Pastorek; Kelvin Adams, chief of staff of the Louisiana Recovery School District; as well as Brian Riedlinger, chief executive officer of the Algiers Charter School Association.
Topics for discussion include the future of L.B. Landry High School and the Rosenwald Elementary School campuses.
The meeting is being sponsored by state Rep. Jeff Arnold, D-Algiers.
